Apply for permission on greytHR ESS portal

Applying for permission helps you avoid the regularization of attendance for a particular day and keep the managers informed.

The Regularization & Permission page in the greytHR ESS portal helps you to apply for permission in advance. The page displays the Apply, Pending, and History tabs.

To view the Regularization & Permission page, click Attendance > Regularization & Permission.

You can perform the following actions on the Permissions page:

  1. Apply permission for a past date.

  2. Apply permission for a current date.

  3. Apply permission for a future date.

Apply permission for a past date

To apply for permission for a past date, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Regularization & Permission.

  2. On the Regularization & Permission page, under the Apply tab, click the Quick Add button. The list of exception day cards appears.
    Note: You can use the Quick Add button only for the past exception days.

  3. From the Add CC dropdown search box, search for the employee whom you want to keep in CC.

  4. In the Remarks text box, enter the valid remark.

  5. Click the πŸ”½ on the exception day card. The card expands.

  6. From the Permission Type dropdown list, select the required permission type. The reviewer's name gets auto-populated on the card.
    Note: You can create multiple permission types by clicking Add More.

  7. In the From Time and To Time text box, enter the required timings.

  8. In the Reason text box, enter the valid reason for applying for permission.

  9. Repeat the above steps for each exception day card.

  10. Click the Apply button to apply for permission.

Apply permission for a current date

To apply permission for a current date, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Regularization & Permission.

  2. On the Regularization & Permission page, under the Apply tab, click the current date from the calendar. The date card appears.

  3. From the Add CC dropdown search box, search for the employee whom you want to keep in CC.

  4. In the Remarks text box, enter the valid remark.

  5. Click the πŸ”½ on the exception day card. The card expands.

  6. From the Permission Type dropdown list, select the required permission type. The reviewer's name gets auto-populated on the card.
    Note: You can create multiple permission types by clicking Add More.

  7. In the From Time and To Time text box, enter the required timings.

  8. In the Reason text box, enter the valid reason for applying for permission.

  9. Click the Apply button to apply for permission.

Apply permission for a future date

To apply for permission for a future date, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Regularization & Permission.

  2. On the Regularization & Permission page, under the Apply tab, click the required future date from the calendar for which you want to apply for permission. The date card appears.

  3. From the Add CC dropdown search box, search for the employee whom you want to keep in CC.

  4. In the Remarks text box, enter the valid remark.

  5. Click the πŸ”½ on the exception day card. The card expands.

  6. From the Permission Type dropdown list, select the required permission type. The reviewer's name gets auto-populated on the card.
    Note: You can create multiple permission types by clicking Add More.

  7. In the From Time and To Time text box, enter the required timings.

  8. In the Reason text box, enter the valid reason for applying for permission.

  9. Click the Apply button to apply for permission.

Note: You can view all the pending permission applications under the Pending tab and all the closed permission applications under the History tab.
