Overtime means working extra hours beyond your regular schedule, often with additional pay. Comp-off, or compensatory time off, allows employees to take time off instead of receiving extra pay for those additional hours worked.
As an employee, keeping track of your overtime or comp-off can be challenging, especially when dealing with multiple approvals and manual processes.Β
With greytHR's Auto-Grant OT/Comp-Off feature, the system automatically grants your extra hours as either overtime or comp-off, based on your company's policies. This eliminates the need for manual requests.
You can easily view all your auto-granted comp-off and overtime records on the Auto-Grant OT/Comp-off page in the greytHR ESS portal. This feature allows you to filter records by attendance period or date range. These options give you better control and visibility over your overtime and comp-off balance.

To view your auto-granted comp-off records, perform the following actions:
From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Auto-Grant OT/Comp-off. The Auto-Grant OT/Comp-off page opens.
From the Select Auto Grant Type options, select comp-off.
From the Attendance Period dropdown list, select the required attendance period.
From the Select Date Range dropdown calendar, select the required date. Under the Current Applications tab, the table displays the information based on the selection such as the Employee Details, From, To, Leave Type, Leave Credit, Posted On, and Status.
To view your auto-granted overtime records, perform the following actions:
From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Auto-Grant OT/Comp-off. The Auto-Grant OT/Comp-off page opens.
From the Select Auto Grant Type options, select Overtime.
From the Attendance Period dropdown list, select the required attendance period.
From the Select Date Range dropdown calendar, select the required date. Under the Current Applications tab, the table displays the information based on the selection such as the Employee Details, Attendance Date, Processed On, Eligible Ot Hours (Hours an employee works), Applied OT Hours (Based on Overtime Policy, the system applies for the overtime hours), and Status (Considered/Not Considered).
