View and override team members shift

As a manager, on a few occasions, you need to override the attendance shift of your teammates. The Shift Roster page in the greytHR ESS portal helps you to override the shift in bulk for your team member. You can override single and multiple shifts in bulk. You can also view the shift details of your team members.

You can perform the following actions on the Shift Roster page:

  1. View your team members' shift details.

  2. Override single shift for team members.

  3. Override Multiple shifts for team members.

  4. View and delete shift override transactions.

View your team members' shift details

To view your team members' shift details, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Shift Roster.

  2. On the Shift Roster page, click the Shift Details tab. The page displays the list of employees and their shift details.

Override single shift for team members

You can override a single shift for multiple employees using the Bulk Override tab. To override a single shift for multiple employees, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Shift Roster.

  2. On the Shift Roster page, click the Bulk Override tab. The page displays Single Shift/Multiple Shift/Override Changelog radio buttons.

  3. Select the Single Shift option.Β 

  4. From the Select Dates dropdown calendar, select the dates for which you want to override the shift details.

  5. From the Select employees to Override details, select the employees displayed in the table. You can also search for the employees based on name, employee ID, or shifts.

  6. On the right side of the screen, under the Override Shift Details, from the Shift to Override dropdown list, select the shift that you want to assign to the selected employees.

  7. Click Override Now to assign the new shift to the selected employee.
    Note: You can override the single shift for the employees only for one time.

Override Multiple shifts for team members

You can override multiple shifts for multiple employees using the Bulk Override tab. To override multiple shifts, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Shift Roster.

  2. On the Shift Roster page, click the Bulk Override tab. The page displays Single Shift/Multiple Shift/Override Changelog radio buttons.

  3. Select the Multiple Shift option.

  4. From the Select Dates dropdown calendar, select the dates for which you want to override the shift details.

  5. From the Select employees to Override details, select the employees displayed in the table. You can also search for the employees based on name, employee ID, or shifts.

  6. On the right side of the screen, under the Override Shift Details, from each date dropdown list, select the new shifts that you want to assign to the selected employees.

  7. Click Override Now to assign the new shifts to the selected employee for different dates.

View and delete shift override transactions

To view the shift override transactions, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR ESS portal, navigate to Attendance > Shift Roster.

  2. On the Shift Roster page, click the Bulk Override tab. The page displays the Single Shift/Multiple Shift/Override Changelog option.

  3. Select the Override Changelog option. The page displays the list of employees for whom you have overridden the single shift.

  4. From the Search Employee search box, search for the employee whose override details you want to view. The page displays the details such as Employee Name, From Date, To Date, and Shift.

  5. Select the required transaction from the list.

  6. Click the Delete Changelog button to delete the selected transaction. After deleting the changelog, the changes will also be reverted to the previous state.
    Note: The Override Changelog page will only display the shift changes done through the Single Shift page for a specific date range.
