View your holiday calendar and apply for restricted holiday

The holiday calendar typically includes dates and details of holidays, such as the name of the holiday, the date on which it falls, and any relevant notes or descriptions. Employees can access this calendar through the mobile app, which may have a dedicated section for restricted/optional holidays.

The Holiday Calendar screen in the greytHR Mobile application displays a complete list of holidays provided as per your company's policies. The holiday list offers you an opportunity to plan and apply your leave well in advance. You can apply/withdraw a restricted holiday application. You can also view the status of your applications, such as Apply, Applied, Approved, and Withdrawn.

The screen enables you to view the holidays for the current and previous years. The All dropdown filter on the screen allows you to view the General Holidays, Restricted Holidays, or both. 

To view the Holiday Calendar screen, from the greytHR Mobile application, navigate to Explore > Leave > Holiday Calendar.

Alternatively, you can navigate to Action > Holiday Calendar.

You can perform the following actions on the Holiday Calendar page:

  1. Apply for restricted holiday (RH).

  2. Withdraw restricted holiday application.

Apply for restricted holiday (RH)

To apply for a restricted holiday, perform the following actions:

  1. On the Holiday Calendar screen, from the Year dropdown filter, select the relevant year. A list of all the holidays for the selected year appears.

  2. From the All Holidays dropdown filter, select Restricted Holidays option.

  3. Select the required holiday date, and tap Apply. A form appears.

  4. In the Remarks description box, enter the remarks, if any.

  5. The Applying to field displays the immediate manager or reviewer of the leave application. You can also inform a team member by adding their name with the Add CC option.

  6. Tap Apply to submit your application.

Withdraw restricted holiday application

To withdraw a restricted holiday application, perform the following actions:

  1. On the Holiday Calendar screen, from the Year dropdown filter, select the relevant year. A list of all the holidays for the selected year appears.

  2. From the All Holidays  dropdown filter, select the Restricted Holidays option.

  3. Select the holiday application card which you want to withdraw. The screen displays Apply, Pending, and History tabs.

  4. Tap the Pending tab. A list of all the pending restricted holiday applications appears.

  5. Tap the Withdraw option on the required leave application. The Withdraw Leave pop-up appears.

  6. Click Confirm to submit the withdrawal request.
