Updated in April - 2025 | Subscribe to watch greytHR how-to video

360° Feedback is an all-inclusive evaluation method that gathers feedback from peers, subordinates, managers, and self-assessments. It helps you understand your workplace performance and enhance self-awareness and professional growth.

With greytHR’s 360° Feedback, you, as an employee, can act as a nominator to select peers, managers, or subordinates you work with to receive valuable feedback. It also lets you take on the role of an evaluator, as assigned by your admin, to provide ratings-based feedback that helps the nominator recognize their strengths and areas for improvement.

Key roles to perform for 360° feedback cycle

  1. Nominate the evaluator.

  2. Evaluate team members.

Nominate the evaluator

The 360° Feedback page in the greytHR ESS portal makes it easy for you, as an employee, to nominate peers, managers, or subordinates who will evaluate you and provide ratings-based feedback.

Steps to nominate the evaluators

To get started with nominating evaluators, from the greytHR ESS portal, go to Performance > 360° Feedback.

  1. Select the nomination card.
Note: You can choose to nominate for yourself or another team member.

  2. Click + Nominate Evaluators. A pop-up window opens where you can search and add the nominator by the employee name or number.
    Note

    • You can see the number of nominators you need to select or those still pending.

    • You can see the evaluators already added to avoid selecting the same individual again.

  3. Once you add the evaluators, they will receive an email notification.

Points to remember

  • The recent feedback cycle appears by default showing its status and duration.

  • You can switch between cycles from the dropdown if you need to take action in another cycle.

  • Once the cycle is selected, two tabs appear: Evaluations and Nominations. By default, the active tab opens which depends on the timeline of the cycle's actions.

  • You can switch between the two tabs as required.

Evaluate the team members

Once the nomination period ends, the evaluation window begins. Under the Evaluations tab, you can see all the evaluations that you need to do for a particular feedback cycle.

Steps to evaluate the team members

To evaluate the team members for the feedback process, from the greytHR ESS portal, go to Performance > 360° Feedback.

  1. To start the evaluation, click Start Evaluation for the desired evaluation card.

    Info

    • You can view the evaluation status and due date.

    • If you have already started an evaluation, you can continue the evaluation.

    • You can evaluate for yourself or another team member.

  2. Review the Evaluation Guidelines (if provided) and click Next

  3. Rate the employee for each question by selecting the appropriate feedback rating.
Note: If a question doesn’t apply, you can select the Not Applicable checkbox.

  4. Click Save and Next.
Note: The Final Rating, which is the average of all ratings, appears at the end.

  5. Click Submit. A confirmation message appears, click Confirm.

Once the evaluation is completed and the admin has published the report, you can download it as a PDF. Go to Performance > 360° Feedback and click Download Report.

  1. Points to remember

    • The evaluation card disappears, and no evaluation summary is available once you have submitted it.

    • The card is removed if you miss the deadline or if the cycle/feedback is canceled.

    • Once submitted, you cannot change your feedback.

With greytHR’s 360° Feedback, the evaluation process becomes simpler while supporting personal growth and teamwork.
