Income Tax (IT) statement is a final report of your IT calculations based on your income for a financial year. The statement can be only when the admin releases it. The IT statement contains a calculation of Income Tax for a complete financial year and the declarations provided up to the current date/month.
The IT Statement page in the greytHR ESS portal enables you to view the complete breakdown of your IT declaration. You can also download your IT statement for a selected financial year.
To view the IT Statement page, click Salary > IT Statement.
You can view the following information at the top of the IT Statement page:
Tax calculated as per: The tax regime based on which tax is being calculated.
Net tax in Rs: Net amount of tax payable.
Total tax due in: Total amount of tax payable to be deducted for the remaining months of the current financial year.
Tax deductible per month in: Amount of tax to be deducted on a monthly basis.
Remaining months (month name onwards): Total number of months remaining to pay tax for the current financial year.
You can perform the following actions on the IT Statement page:
View breakdown of IT declaration.
Download IT statement.
To view the complete breakdown of the IT declaration, perform the following actions:
On the IT Statement page, from the year dropdown list, select the required year for which you want to view the IT statement. The page displays the list of Income Tax components.
Click the + icon available next to the required component. The component expands and displays the information related to the selected component.
Click the Expand all option to view detailed information of all the components. These details include Income, Deductions, Perquisites, Income Excluded From Tax, Exemption Under Section 10, Income From Previous Employer, Less Deduction under Section 16, Income From Other Sources, Deduction Under Chapter VI A, Taxable Income, Annual Tax, Tax Paid Till Date, Balance Payable, and TDS Recovered in Current Month.
To download the IT statement, perform the following actions:
On the IT Statement page, from the year dropdown list, select the required year for which you want to download the IT statement.
Click the Download icon. The statement downloads in pdf format.
