Know your team

The greytHR Mobile application provides you with an opportunity to know more about employees in your organization at your fingertips. They can be your team members, colleagues, or any unknown employee in your office. You can view various information such as names, job titles, contact information, department, and location.

The People screen in the greytHR Mobile application displays details about all current employees in your organization. You can search for employees, and view their information such as name, ID, contact details, birthdate, and location. It also allows you to mark employees as favorites for quick access.

You have the option to access the following tabs on the People screen:

  1. Everyone - This tab displays all the employees in the organization. Along with the employee's name, the tab also provides other information.

  2. Starred - This tab displays all the employees marked as favorites. Marking an employee as a favorite allows you to access their information quickly.

  3. My Team - This tab is available only for managers. As a manager, you can view your team members under this tab and access their information quickly.

The People screen enables you to perform the following actions:

  1. View employee's/team member's information.

  2. Mark/Unmark an employee as your favorite.

  3. Contact an employee.

    1. Call an employee.

    2. Send an email to employee.

View an employee's/team member's information

To view an employee's/team member's information, perform the following actions:

  • From the greytHR Mobile application, navigate to Explore People.

  • On the People screen, under the Everyone/My Team tab, in the Search employee search box, enter the name or ID of the required employee. The screen displays the selected employee’s card with the employee's name and number.

  • Tap the employee card to view the employee's Extension Number (if any), Mobile number, Email ID, Emergency Contact Number, Location, Designation, Date of Birth, Reporting manager, and Joining Date.

Mark/Unmark an employee as your favorite

To mark an employee as your favorite, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Mobile application, navigate to Explore People.

  2. On the People screen, under the Everyone tab, in the Search employee search box, enter the name or ID of the required employee who you want to add to your favorite list.

  3. Tap the Star icon available next to the employee's name. The mark turns yellow. The employee is now added successfully to your favorite list. You can now view all the employees marked as favorites under the Starred tab.

Note: To unmark/remove an employee from your favorites list, click the yellow Star icon available next to the employee's name under the Starred tab.

Contact an employee

With your ESS mobile app, you can contact an employee via call or email option. To contact an employee, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Mobile application, navigate to Explore People.

  2. On the People screen, under the Everyone/Starred tab, in the Search employee search box, enter the name or ID of the required employee who you want to contact. 

  3. Tap the Call icon to connect with your co-worker/team member on the phone.

  4. Tap the Email inbox icon. You will be directed to your mailbox. You can compose an email and send it to the employee/team member.
