Mark attendance
The new attendance marking mobile app allows employees to sign in using various methods. The new innovative methods enable you to verify employee sign-in efficiently. We have also introduced selfie-based attendance marking in our new app. You must be curious and wondering about the advantages of a selfie-based sign-in. Here are a few:
Avoid proxy
Get a sightful perception of where the employee was signing in and his surroundings.
Increase transparency and trust among employees and managers.
The different types of sign-in methods and sign-in verification types available in the mobile application are as follows:

Geofence Auto Sign In
Log in to greytHR mobile application
As a first step, you must download the application from Android Google's Play Store/iPhone's App Store. To download the application and log in, perform the following actions:
On your mobile device, tap the play store/apple store icon. The play store/app store opens.
In the search box, enter greytHR Employee Portal , and select the application from search results.
Tap Install to download and install the application.
After the app is installed, you can view the Open button. Tap Open to launch the application. The greytHR mobile application opens.
Tap Continue to log in to sign in to the greytHR mobile application. The Log In screen opens.
In the Enter your web address here... text box, enter your login URL or web address. For example, abc.greythr.com.
After entering the login URL or web address, tap Log me in. The screen with Login ID and Password fields open.
In the Login ID text box, enter your login account details.
In the Password text box, enter your password.
Tap Log In. The Welcome screen opens. You are now logged in to the mobile application.
Manual mobile sign in
This method allows employees to sign in with just a click. The manual mobile sign-in method doesn't verify the location or presence of the employee. An employee can directly sign in using the application.
To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through manual mobile sign in method, perform the following actions:
Log in to the mobile application.
To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens.
The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.
To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.
Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.
Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully.
Manual mobile sign in with manual selfie capture
This method encourages employees to mark the attendance by capturing selfies manually using the default camera button. The selfie is then sent to their manager for verification.
To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through manual mobile sign in with manual selfie capture method, perform the following actions:
Log in to the mobile application.
To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In Details screen opens.
The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.
To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.
Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.
Tap Click Selfie to take the selfie. The camera frame opens. You can now capture your selfie using the mobile phone's camera button.
Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. If you want to re-take the selfie, tap the Re-capture button and follow on-screen instructions. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully.
Note: Ensure that your face correctly fits inside the camera frame.
Manual mobile sign in with selfie recognition
This method encourages employees to mark the attendance by capturing selfies automatically and then verifying the selfie through selfie recognition. The auto-captured selfie is verified with the employee's photo stored in the database.
To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through manual mobile sign in with selfie recognition, perform the following actions:
Log in to the mobile application.
To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens.
The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.
To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.
Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.
Note: Ensure that your face correctly fits inside the camera frame.
Geo fencing
This method captures employee attendance when the employee signs in from the locations pre-defined by the organization. You can define these locations using the greytHR web application.
To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through geo fencing method, perform the following actions:
Log in to the mobile application.
Tap Sign In. The Welcome screen opens. You are now signed into the mobile application.
To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens.
The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.
To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.
Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.
Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully.
Geo fencing with manual selfie capture
This method captures attendance when the employee signs in using selfie capture from the pre-defined locations. Employees must take the selfie manually using the default camera button. The selfie is then sent to the manager for verification.
To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through geo fencing with manual selfie capture, perform the following actions:
Log in to the mobile application.
Tap Sign In. The Welcome screen opens. You are now signed into the mobile application.

The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.
To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.
Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.
Tap Click Selfie to mark your attendance. The camera frame opens. Place your face inside the camera frame, and then automatically, the face is captured via face recognition. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully.
Note: Ensure that your face correctly fits inside the camera frame.
Geo marking
In this method, when the employee signs in using the manual mobile sign in method, the employee's attendance along with the address of the sign-in location are marked. This option is beneficial when an employee does not have a fixed working location, such as employees working in the last-mile (customer door delivery) delivery team.
To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through geo marking method, perform the following actions:
Log in to the mobile application.
To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens.
The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.
To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.
Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.
Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully.
Geo marking with manual selfie capture
This method captures the attendance and sign-in location address of the employee when the employee signs in using selfie capture. Employees must take the selfie manually using the default camera button. The selfie is then sent to the manager for verification.
To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through geo marking with manual selfie capture method, perform the following actions:
Log in to the mobile application.
To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens.

To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.

Geofence Auto Sign in
Enabling the feature captures the employees attendance automatically. The greytHR mobile application tracks the employee’s existing device location. Once the employee enters in the vicinity of the configured location, he/she will be signed in automatically.
To mark the attendance, perform the following actions:
Login to the mobile application.
Allow the greytHR application to access your location.
Connect you device to the Wi-Fi or enable the mobile data.
Note: After enabling the auto sign in option, you will receive the notification on your mobile screen that Your attendance will be marked automatically.
